June 26, 2024 - Bishop V.P. Oliver - Christian Apologetics
Introduction
This study explores the concept of Christian Apologetics and the need for every believer to understand the importance of defending our faith. In an age filled with so many false doctrines and social standards that conflict with the Scriptures, the man and woman of God must be equipped and prepared to engage with others in an informed and noncombative manner.
A definition: “Christian apologetics is the science of giving a defense of the Christian faith. It involves reasoned arguments and evidence-based dialogue aimed at intellectually engaging with skeptics and unbelievers, addressing objections, and providing a biblical defense of core Christian beliefs such as the existence of God, the reliability of Scripture, the deity of Christ, and the truth of Christian doctrines.”
July 3, 2024 - Rev. Dr. Steve A. Wright, Sr. - How to Know God's Will for Your Life
Introduction
The question, how do I know God's will for my life has been asked many times. But before the question can be answered, another question should be asked: Am I willing, and am I ready to do God's will?
Remember that in order to do his will, what He has in mind for you may take you by surprise. Perhaps it is best expressed by Isaiah 55:8-9 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways declares the Lord. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts,” In order to discover and do God's will, there are three words to keep in mind.
July 10, 2024 - Rev. Burnadette Kornegay - Covenants of the Bible
Introduction
A covenant is an agreement between two parties. There are two basic types of covenants: conditional and unconditional. A conditional or joint covenant is an agreement that is binding on both parties for its fulfillment. Both parties agree to fulfill certain conditions. If either party fails to meet their responsibilities, the covenant is broken, and neither party has to fulfill the expectations of the covenant. An unconditional or one-sided covenant is an agreement between two parties, but only one of the two parties has to do something. Nothing is required of the other party.
July 17, 2024 - Rev. Donna Wilson - Kingdom Building
Introduction
A Kingdom builder is one who has a different source from which to draw wisdom – God’s eternal truth revealed in the Bible—great power to live on. A Kingdom builder operates in a different power than the rest of the world – the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit, who offers guidance every step of the way—great people to live with.
July 24, 2024 - Minister Daniel Wilson - Faith 101 (Hebrews 11:1)
Introduction
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Let’s act like we know nothing about faith. Vernon McGhee said to put the cookies on the bottom shelf so that the kiddies can reach them.
The goal of the lesson is to help people develop deeper faith in God

July 31, 2024 - Minister Lawrence Waddell - Why The New Testament
Introduction
I think it is safe to say the Bible is the most read of all books, Yet as individuals have been prompted to read it, perhaps by curiosity, perhaps by spiritual interest, they have often found that it baffles them. And because of this all too soon shrink from any serious effort to master the context of this sacred text. The main reason for not understanding the message of the scriptures lies in the failure to see its overall plan and purpose. The plan of the Bible can be compared to a mosaic. A decoration made by setting small pieces of glass or tile of different colors to make a picture or pattern. Our lives are made up of many small individual moments, experiences, and moment that paint a picture of who we are. Each word, chapter, and book form components that are necessary, yet incomplete by themselves. We have to see the Bible as one book that tells a continuous story of the account of God dealing with the human race. From the beginning to the end the Bible has one great theme: The person and work of the lord Jesus Christ.

December 4, 2024 - Rev. Burnadette Kornegay - Heirs of God
Introduction
Our Bible study lesson this evening, Heirs of God, comes as a result of the Sunday School lesson on December 1st. The lesson was titled “A Noble Family Tree.” It was based off of Jesus, being an heir of David.
It is because of the promise of God Galatians 3:29—And if you are Christ’s, then you are heirs according to the promise. and the Work of the Cross (Philippians 2:8—And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.) that we have been made of heirs of God. It is of God’s grace through faith that we have been saved and made heirs, co-heirs with Jesus Christ.
Romans 8:16-17 (AMP) The Spirit Himself testifies and confirms together with our spirit [assuring us] that we [believers] are children of God. And if [we are His] children, [then we are His] heirs also: heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ [sharing His spiritual blessing and inheritance], if indeed we share in His suffering so that we may also share in His glory.
An heir is one who is entitled by law to receive the estate of another; the heir is the rightful recipient of certain properties, possessions, endowments, positions of influence, or qualities of character passed on from a parent or predecessor.
December 11, 2024 - Minister Daniel Wilson - The Essentials of Prayer
Introduction
Matthew 6:6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
The real lesson is when we can recognize we have a father who desires to hear from us. Prayer should not feel like a chore, but it should feel like an urge. We should have an urge to want to get into our father’s safe space. Let’s go back to really praying and giving God our attention. We can even have a competition to see who can pray the most in one day. Prayer acknowledges God and activate his holy presence into our situation.
