Lesson 1 - Introduction and The Providence of God - January 8, 2025
Introduction
As we embark on this Bible Study series on Spiritual Maturity, it’s important first to take a moment to reflect on what spiritual maturity truly means. In our walk with Christ, spiritual maturity isn’t just about knowledge—although knowing the Word of God is essential. Nor is it not merely about outward behavior, although living out our faith is vital. More accurately, spiritual maturity is a holistic transformation that touches every part of who we are. It is about growing in love for God and others, deepening our understanding of His will, and becoming more like Christ in both our thoughts and actions.
The Apostle Paul speaks about this growth in his letter to the Ephesians, urging believers to “grow up into Him Who is the Head, that is, Christ” (Ephesians 4:15). Spiritual maturity means we stop being “children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine” (Ephesians 4:14). It means standing firm in our faith, developing discernment, and moving beyond immaturity that is influenced by every new idea or trend.

Lesson 2 - A Proper Vision of God - January 15, 2025
Introduction
The Importance of A Proper Vision of God in the journey toward spiritual maturity, is one of the most foundational aspects is our vision or understanding of God. A Proper Vision of God shapes our identity, our relationship with Him, and our purpose in life. Without a clear, biblically grounded vision of God, our faith can easily become distorted or superficial. The more we see God as He truly is, the more we are transformed into His likeness. “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord” (2 Corinthians 3:18). Therefore, as mature believers in Christ, we must develop a high, biblical view of God that leads to reverence, awe, and a deeper relationship with Him.
1. God’s Holiness: A Vision of His Majesty
2. God’s Glory: A Vision of His Presence
3. God’s Power and Authority: A Vision of His Sovereignty
4. God’s Beauty and Grace: A Vision of His Heart
Lesson 3 – Perseverance - January 22, 2025
Introduction
The journey towards spiritual maturity involves perseverance or endurance. The biblical doctrine of The Perseverance of the Saints teaches that true believers in Jesus Christ will persevere in faith until the end of their lives, not by their own strength, but by the sustaining power of God. This doctrine assures us that once we are saved, we are forever secure in God's grace and will continue to grow in spiritual maturity.
There is a close connection between the perseverance of the saints and their spiritual maturity. There are some key scriptures that teach about perseverance and maturity. Using the scriptures, we want to look at the relationship between faith, growth, and endurance in the Christian life.
